ROUND TWO COMING SOON! 

Online applications for the second Development and Preservation Fund cycle will be accepted February 1st–March 1st, with funding decisions to be announced by the end of May. This round is generously funded in partnership with the City of Omaha, whose investment of $20 million in American Rescue Plan Act funds is being matched through philanthropic contributions to Front Porch Investments. 

This round will accept proposals for: 

  • Long-term loans for affordable housing projects 
    • 20 to 25 years; ARPA-funded – pending City Council approval 
  • Short-term loans for affordable housing projects 
    • 3 years or less; privately funded 
  • Grants for affordable housing projects 
    • Nonprofit organizations only; privately funded 
  • Grants to expand or pilot housing-supportive programs 
    • Nonprofit organizations only; privately funded

In the meantime, sign-ups are now live for 30-minute virtual office hours: 

General Office Hours: The Front Porch team will provide feedback and answer specific questions you have related to your funding request. Dates: February 2nd, 3rd, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, and 27th 

Loan Underwriting Prep: Our partners at Impact Development Fund will answer questions and provide assistance to ensure loan applicants have all financial materials in order before submitting an application. Dates: February 14th and 15th
